Electric fence posts in 3ft, 4ft and 5ft sizes. All poly fence posts are vertically reinforced for extra stability and feature a combination of different slots for various fence lines such as poly tape, poly wire and poly rope.
Dependent on the animal you are fencing we will have the fence post you need. The 3ft high posts are generally used in pig, sheep and pony fencing. The larger 4ft and 5ft are used in electric fencing for horses.
Usually electric fence posts are spaced from 5m-7m apart but on shorter runs and a stronger fences this spacing can be reduced. Poly posts are used in electric fences when fencing is temporary and is likely to moved regularly. As part of electric fence system poly posts are very useful as they are needed to strip grazing and also fencing off paddocks internally.
Electric fence posts are vertical supports that hold the electrified wires of an electric fence. They are typically made of either plastic or metal, and come in a variety of heights and thicknesses to suit different needs.
Here are some of the most common types of electric fence posts:
- Plastic posts: These are the most popular type of electric fence post, as they are lightweight, durable, and easy to install. They are also relatively inexpensive. Plastic posts come in a variety of colors, including white, green, and black.
- Metal posts: Metal posts are more durable than plastic posts, but they are also more expensive and heavier. They are a good choice for areas where the fence is likely to be damaged by animals or vehicles. Metal posts are typically made of steel or aluminum.
- Fiberglass posts: Fiberglass posts are a lighter and more flexible alternative to metal posts. They are also resistant to rust and corrosion. However, they are not as strong as metal posts and may not be suitable for all applications.
In addition to the material, electric fence posts are also available in a variety of heights and thicknesses. The height of the post will depend on the type of animal you are trying to contain, while the thickness of the post will depend on the weight of the fence wire.
When choosing electric fence posts, it is important to consider the following factors:
- The type of animal you are trying to contain
- The weight of the fence wire
- The terrain where the fence will be installed
- Your budget
